NLKJ Partner Mark Lienhoop applies for the Indiana Supreme Court Vacancy

NLKJ partner, Mark Lienhoop, has applied for the Indiana Supreme Court vacancy.  Indiana Supreme Court Justice Brent Dickson will become a senior judge on April 29, 2016, after serving 30 years on the bench.  Mark Lienhoop has been a partner at NLKJ since 1989 and a co-managing partner since 1997.  From 1981 to 1983, Mark served as a law clerk on the Indiana Court of Appeals.  Mark was just selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2016.

According to the Indiana Lawyer, initial interviews with the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission will be Feb. 17-19, with a second round March 3-4. Interviews are open to the public and will take place at the Statehouse in room 319. In recent Supreme Court vacancies, the commission has selected around 10 semifinalists in the first round before choosing three finalists.

Led by Chief Justice Loretta Rush and consisting of three lawyers and three lay members from around the state, the Judicial Nominating Commission submits names of three finalists to Gov. Mike Pence, who then has 60 days to select the next justice.
