When engaged in a business transaction, I work closely with my client’s accountant and other advisors to assure that our client receives complete and coordinated business law and tax law advice.

Ed is a Registered Alternative Dispute Resolution Mediator by the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education and regularly serves on the faculty of the program that certifies new mediators.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ed practiced with a large Chicago-based law firm. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jesse E. Eschbach, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, who later served as a Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Ed is a member of the La Porte County Bar Association (President, 1988-1989 and of the former La Porte City Bar Association 1983-1984), and the Indiana State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Aviation Law Committee (Chairman, 1983-1991, 1997-1998). He is a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation.
Leadership & Recognition
A licensed and instrument-rated pilot for more than 30 years, Ed has served on the La Porte Municipal Airport Authority and a member of the Aviation Association of Indiana. He has also served on the Aviation Law Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association. This experience has led him to represent individuals, businesses and municipalities in various aspects of aviation law.
Ed has earned and retains the highest possible Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating (AV) for legal ability and professional ethics.
Indiana University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude,) Order of the Coif. Served on the Indiana Law Journal for two years, including one year on the Board of Editors as Associate Editor. During his tenure the Journal published a Note he authored.
