Mr. Jones practiced with Newby, Lewis Kaminski and Jones since 1993. He has been a partner since
1999.
BAR ADMISSIONS: Mr. Jones was admitted to
the bar in 1993. His admissions include the State of Indiana, Northern and Southern
Districts of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.
EDUCATION: Mr. Jones received a B.S. and
M.S. from Indiana
University in Environmental
Science. He is a
graduate of Valparaiso
University School of Law.
PRACTICE AREAS: Mr. Jones focuses his
practice on plaintiff's personal injury and criminal defense.
SELECTED: In 2008, Mr. Jones was selected by his peers to be
included in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers in
America.
JURY TRIAL EXPERIENCE: Plaintiff's personal injury (product liability, car
wrecks,
slip and fall, medical malpractice). State and Federal criminal
defense (murder, drugs, fraud, driving while intoxicated, arson, battery,
RICO, etc).
PUBLIC DEFENDER: Since 1995, Mr. Jones has been a
LaPorte County deputy
public defender. He represents defendants charged
with felonies in the LaPorte Circuit Court.
Mr. Jones is also a Criminal Justice Act
Panel Attorney (Northern District of Indiana; South Bend Division) representing defendant's
charged with crimes in federal court.
MEMBER: Mr. Jones is a member of the LaPorte County, Indiana
State,
American and Seventh Circuit
bar associations; Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Indiana
